“No!” You moaned when your jeep began to sputter to a stop.

“God damn it!” you shouted, hitting the steering wheel as the wheels stopped turning. You watched in horror as the engine began steaming. Knowing nothing about cars, you sighed and got out of the car. “Well, this sucks.” You frown, looking out at the desert surrounding you. You crouch and knot your hiking boots again for safety and adjust the scarf wrapped around your head.

“Actually...” you murmur, looking around to check that no one was near before pulling the scarf from your head to tear your shirt off. You adjusted your sports bra and tucked the tank top into the waistband of your denim shorts. “Much better.” You grinned as the cool air made contact with your sweaty back. “And now,” you said to yourself, taking you backpack filled with water and emergency supplies, along with a radio, but you needed to get a signal. You were in Egypt to learn religious symbols but on the way to one of the lecture sites your car’s engine overheated. “Ok,” you keep talking to no one, “West is...” you pause, looking at where the sun is and then turning 180 degrees to the left, “that way.” You nod and head that way, towards the nearest city.
Time Skip brought to you by the letter ‘L’

“Oh, balls,” you sigh, wiping the sweat from your forehead. You gulped dryly as you noted you last water bottle was empty. “Double balls!” you cry. You squint into the setting sun, hoping to see something, what exactly, you weren’t sure, you just wanted something to pop up in the distance to keep you company. You kept walking when you saw nothing and began humming a song to yourself to keep your calm. “Wait a tick,” you say, shading your eyes with your hand, “is that a tent?” You grin, knowing it was what you hoped “Oops, I think I’m going to pass out now,” you gasp, hitting the sand and closing your eyes. “Balls...” you groan as a tingly feeling enveloped your body.
Another time skip!

“Ah, Jesus.” you moan, clutching your head and trying to get back up.

“Um, ya, you’re going to need to lie back down again.” You’re (e/c) eyes flew open at the deep, male voice. You were greeted by the sight of darkness. Slowly, someone peeled the damp cloth from your eyes and dipped it into a clay bowl filled with water.

“Where,” your voice cracked from dryness as you turned to face the man, “did you get the-” You cut yourself short at the sight of the man. A strand of jet black hair stuck out of his white keffiyeh. His olive eyes contrasted with his dark skin and he chuckled.

“Water?” he finished for you, “Look outside. Or, on second thought,” he said, concern apparent in his voice and you tried to move again, “I’ll just tell you. My men and I found an oasis to camp at while we waited for someone.” he rung out the cloth and walked towards you again.

“And who are you?” you ask, flinching as the cool cloth touched your hot neck. Quickly, the cloth was the same temperature as your skin. The man frowned, taking the cloth and dousing it thoroughly with water, ringing it out this time on your neck.

You gasped as the freezing water trickled down your back and collected at the elastic band at the bottom of your bra. “I am Guputa Mohameddo, an archaeologist. My men and I may have found-” He stopped, looking at you dumbfounded face, “who are you, anyway? I’m mean, no offence, but, women such as yourself,” he bit his lip, looking at your almost bare and toned body, “don’t normally wander in the desert.”

“Ah, that’s because I am a religious symbology student.”

“Of course.”

“Yep. There isn’t, by any chance, a way you could give me a ride to the city, is there?” you ask, playing with a lock of your hair.

“There is but you need to recover first. Stay here for a few days, I promise no one will hurt you.” Gupta smiled softly.

“Alright, but is there somewhere I can wash off?”

“Yes, come with me.”
Hipster Time Skip was time-skipping with funny phrases before it was cool

“Are you sure this is a good idea?” you ask, looking at the starlit desert.

“Yes, just follow me.” Gupta chuckled, gently grabbing your hand and tugging at it, pulling you through tall river grass and cattails. “Here.” we stopped.

“What do you mean, ‘Here’?” you ask, confused, as he pulls back a clump of grass to reveal an oasis. “Oh.”

“Yes, you can bathe here, there’s nothing deadly in it, I checked.” he smirked.

“Good to know.” you giggle, “So, um...” you start, unsure of how to continue, “how is this going to work?”

“Well, I’ll will stay near, in case if you need anything but, you will stay close to the edge, I don’t know how deep it goes.” he nodded and placed a loose tunic on the ground and then  walking back into the bushes. You quickly look around before getting undressed and stepping into the clear water. Sighing, you relaxed into the water and floated through the water.

Egypt’s POV

I couldn’t help but watch as (y/n) relaxed in the water. Her skin glistened and her (h/c) hair created a halo around her peaceful face. I blushed, quickly looking away from her naked body. I listened for the splash of water that signaled her getting out. There was a rustle of fabric and plants as she walked towards me. My jaw dropped seeing her in the long shirt. It hung loosely over her shoulders and stopped mid-thigh.

“What’s wrong?” she asked, addressing my shocked expression.

“Um,” I gulped, blushing that I was caught, “nothing, sorry.” Both of our eyes drifted to the ground as I blushed harder.

“(y/n)...” I mutter, “you look...” I grabbed one of her hands and used my other hand to tilt her head up to face, “beautiful.” She blushed and lowered her eyes but she placed her hand over mine and pressed it closer to her cheek. Taking a risk, I leaned closer to her, taking my hand from hers to wrap it around her hips. I waited and felt her breath tickle my lips.

She kissed me quickly before looking down again.

“(y/n)...” I started

Three Years Later

“...I love you. White is a great color on you.” I whispered after we finished our vows.

She smirked and pulled at her wedding gown. “You think so?” she giggled, “I can’t believe we’re doing this. I love you, thank you for saving me that day.”

“You may now kiss the bride.”

“Will do.” I smirked, kissing her as softly as she kissed me at the oasis. Pulling away, I grinned, “Thank God your car died in the desert.”

:icongodwhyplz: I hope your happy :icontrinachan:, this was very hard to write. Still, I had fun. Hope you enjoy it!
